Ep. 8 - Unbaptized: And Into the Fiery Pits of Hell!

In this episode of "An ExMo and a NeverMo Walk Into a Bar..." Kate and Erika discuss Mormon baptism for both the living and the dead. Mormonism requires baptism for entrance into the Celestial Kingdom where only the most righteous can dwell. Since the early leaders of the Mormon church were anything BUT righteous, the Two NoMos use their self-proclaimed power to unbaptize Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. 

Ep. 7 - Women Can Birth but Not Bless; With Guest Poet Kaitlin Shetler

Two NoMos Kate and Erika sit down with extraordinary poet and ex-church of Christ member, Kaitlin Shetler.
In this episode we discuss the similarities and differences between the Mormon Church and the church of Christ. We highlight the cult tactics employed by both, as well as the erasure of women in these organizations.
And as a special treat, Kaitlin reads one of her beautiful and powerful poems, "sometimes i wonder," about the erasure of Mother Mary's experience in birthing Jesus.
Kate and Erika were both a bit awestruck by Kaitlin's enormous talent.

Ep. 6 - Keep Sweet, Pray and... NO WAY!

In the Mormon church, women are not allowed to hold any significant positions of leadership. They are prohibited from ever being the Prophet, a part of the Quorum, a Bishop, or even holding the Priesthood in their own homes. They can oversee the Women's Auxiliary and the Children's Ward, but even then, they must check in with male leaders about any decisions, and they are not permitted to make decisions on their own.
In this episode, "Keep Sweet, Pray and... NO WAY!", Kate and Erika examine the second-class status of women in the Mormon church, and the ramifications of that for members.

Ep. 5 - A Very Special Two NoMos

In this "after school special" episode of "An ExMo and a NeverMo Walk into a Bar..." Kate and Erika discuss some of the struggles that come with leaving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or Mormon Church. For many, a change in religion changes relationships with family and friends who are still members of the church.This one gets personal. Buckle up.
